genius project - The world is yours. You are going to be given regular time (on fridays) to complete an independent project of your own choosing. The possibilities are as endless as the project is wide open. this is your time to create "something" that showcases your talents/interests/aptitudes and displays your creativity.
There will be regular checkpoints along the way. However, with this project you have to be self-motivated to keep on track.
potential ideas: creating a hot-air balloon, organizing an event, creating and publishing an app, re-designing something, building..., ????
Steps to be taken: 1) Think, Dream... What is something you have always dreamed of doing? What is a problem you see that needs fixing? What is an interesting project idea you have seen someone else do that you thought you could try? 2)Use the design process we have been working with first semester to narrow down your thoughts and ideas into a viable project and solution.
How you will be graded: 1) Project abstract - a paragraph detailing specifically what your project will accomplish and cover. be specific! We will work together to create a binding agreement. 2) Proof of learning - How have you advanced/progressed/learned/changed during this project? 3) completion of your project - did you complete your project?
Every Friday...
Expectations:
1... you are expected to create your own instructable page documenting the process of creating your project. ... your instructable will have photos documenting each major step and part of your project. ... your page will show a photo of all materials/resources needed and used, and include a written materials list. ... your instructables page will be published to the instructables site.
